eQIP is the web-based program that allows contractor employees to initiate security clearance processing or to update their clearance (known as a periodic re-investigation.)
eQIP Steps by JPASpros
Initiates investigation request;
Requests employee to complete the PSQ on-line
Provides guidance on access method, etc.;
Applicant steps
Applicant completes PSQ on-line;
Applicant submits PSQ electronically to JPAS Pros
then JPASpros
Reviews PSQ for completeness, coordinates changes, if necessary
Prints PSQ and signature page
Has applicant certify and sign
Submits the completed PSQ and mails fingerprint cards, if required.
Monitors progress of the investigation until completed
